Great! ...in the beggining of summer I spent $1000 installing my clutch, gears and fixing my oil leaks and tranny leaks. Now its leaking all over again!!
to top it of my tranny crossmember is broken. Its gonna cost me $1100 to fix everthing including taking down the tranny and resealing it. I hate leaks...!

oil leak seems to be coming from the real main seal which i replaced a couple months ago. I a leaking tranny a sign of it giving up? also I seem to be losing power..can a bad tranny do this?..Thxs

Once a car starts leaking it's hard to get them to stop... Leak paths and such.

maybe there is a better rear main seal that will help you seal up your motor.

Try the Fel-Pro teflon RMS. Use some silicone sealant between the block and the RMS. Did you use sealant or loctite on the flywheel bolts??

did you lube the seals before you put them in? Its always a good idea to put some sort of silicone lube or a little greas on the seal to prevent dry start up that can overheat the seal and distort it or rip it untill it get the regular oil on it to keep it lubed. This should be done on anly seal that has a moving part going through it. I have done this on all engines I have worked on at the dealership and home and never had a problem, but not doing it, I have had to re-do them. just my opinion. good luck. I hate oil leaks to.

Hey guys. I made sure when the shop changed the rear seal to lube it first..but if they really did it I don't know.

I will ask then if they put at tipe of lock tight on the flywheel.

I hate spending money on this kinda stuff...its no like I'll get any horse power after all this nor will I see a difference in the ride...Its just stupid but important things to do I guess!..trying to keep myself from not punching
someone! ........
