I'm not sure if anyone has ever heard of this before but my car is having a really strange issue. While I'm driving down the road my gas gauge will all of a sudden read empty and the fuel light will come on. The engine light also comes on at the same time. Then the fuel gauge will randomly read correctly after a few minutes but the engine light usually stays on for a few minutes after that. The problem is that I think it keeps resetting my tune everytime it does this because the speedometer reads incorrectly (I have 4.10 gears) and my gas mileage is suffering. Even if I reinstall the tune, the computer keeps doing this. It's really frustrating! Any help would be great!

That could be anything from water getting into the smart junction box to a host of other reasons. A lot of guys had problems with rain water getting into the smart junction box through the firewall or something on '05 models. Unfortunately, you may need a trip to the dealer.

the only thing that's common
between the gas gauge readings
and the speedometer, is the PCM
itself.

a remote possibility is a wiring harness
problem, tho i'm not sure where that
would be occuring.
