I recently purchased a pair of 9mm FMS wires for my 1995 GT, and I seem to have a little bit of a problem. I have not tried to install them yet, but the short coil wire does not seem to fit anything because it has a projection comming out of it, and one end is bigger than the other. Here is a picture to help you visualize what I am seeing. Is there just something I don't know, or will I just have to use the long, obnoxious coil wire? Thanks.

there are 2 coil wires included with the FMS wires...one is for our cars(yes, it is the extremely long one that you basically have to wrap around the engine bay lol) and the other one isn't.

I kinda cheated

I bought a "custom length" kit but used the factory boots for the coil so it bolts up stock, I even matched up the factory coil wire length. I then boxed up the rest of the "custom length" wires and took them back saying the boot style would not work on the car and bought there FMS ones.

It took about 15-20min and an extra trip to the store, but its like stock. The color is alittle off (the coil wire is alittle glossy) but matches well enough and looks 10x's better at the boot anyway.

LMAO: "the projection coming out".

Can you hold the plug boot and pull on the wire to make the projection recede?

Good luck.

yup. I had the same problem. I ended-up wraping the long wire around the coil and kind of under the upper intake. Been on there for a year now. I want to get different ones soon though. Still debating between MSD and Taylor wires.

You can just switch the plug ends on the two coil wires. That's what I did and it worked fine.

Just make your own. Takes a min and looks better than having it snaked around the car.

OMG, It's not so bad. just hide it find the spot. and add lots of chrome stuff on the engine bay so the attention would go there. LMAO
