ok we got the car started for about a minute, it seemed to run fine. there was alot of noise coming from the rockers, but im assuming thats because they need to seat. anyways, we shut the car off because there was a lil smoke coming from the engine. I later realized thats prolly oil burning off the headers and side of block that had dripped down when i was coating the rockers. i go to start it back up and it just turns over... doesnt sputter or even try to fire up. we pulled out the distributor, reinstalled it and its right on w/ #1. this is so puzzling... on a side note, TPS is set to .97 and i put in all new sensors so that eliminates that. IAC and EGR were thoroughly cleaned when i assembled the engine. so what the hell is the problem?

someone please help!

thanks for your time,

Luke
