I've been hearing a lot lately that a MAF really does nothing for the car. And of course many are aware that a CAI does really nothing as well.

But i hear that an upgraded 75mm, 80mm, etc MAF (especially a C&L) will mess up the A/F ratios and decrease HP. I wanted to know what the deal was with this? Is this ALL MAFs? or just the C&L?

I was thinking of upgrading to an ACCUFAB T/B and Plenum and was going to do a CAI and MAF...but from what i hear i dont want to do that at all...

 Let me know what you guys think of your MAFs and this topic.

yeah thats what i hear. MAF = w/ a power adder only.

I want to get VT stage 2 CAMS, so what if i got those, accufab t/b and plenum, CAI and 24# injectors and THEN a MAF...think everything would be good-to-go then?

I would also recommend staying away from an aftermarket MAF unless you really, absolutely need it. I've spent about 8 hours in the last three or four days dialing in my Pro-M w/ the SCT software.

The car ran fine with minimal adjustment with the OEM MAF installed, but I'm stubborn and already had the Pro-M, software & tools to make adjustments.
