problems with interior door handle, exterior works fine

Hello all,

Rather annoying having to unroll the window every time I want to get out of the car. I replaced the interior door handle mechanism only to find that didn't do the trick. Like I said, the exterior works fine and the newly installed interior door handle is pulling correctly but the issue is still there.

It looks like something isn't releasing the catch correctly and I've included a photo of where I believe the problem is located (though mine on driver side)

Any ideas for me?

Try readjusting the door latch inside the door jamb

Make sure the rod from the handle to the latch assembly is not bent also
