Was just wondering,on the cars that are here with this kit, what groove on the pully do you have the tension set at? Just had mine dynoed at Livernois yesterday and the belt was slipping around 5300/5400 we could see the drop in boost. where is everyones at?We got it to stop slipping but it seems like we realy tightend it.just afraid to be putting too much streff on the front crank bearing,I know this was a problem with the old fox body cars. The car did pull 428 at the wheels on a mustang dyno in 95 heat! Dan millen tuned the car cuz the regular guy called in sick! He was even suprised with the #'s the car made in the heat.I dont know how to post it but you could see the dyno vidio on their web site. It's under jim's 05 mustang it should be the first video.

too tight wont lower boost,if it is slipping cuz too loose that will drop boost on the upper rpm.

Mine is a 4.38 pulley as well. I am waiting for the new one to come in. BTW, where did you see this "the book says it should be 4.25" ?

on the page they show the belt adjustment.it says that the pulley is in the third hole,it is set for a 4.25 pulley and you could move the adjuster to different holes to allow for different pullys.

Thanks,we were trying to decide if we even want to put the 4.25 on the car.we made 428 at the wheels with the 4.38 on a mustang dyno on a 95 degree day. we think with better air we should see 435/445. and that was with back to back pulls.as it sits the car is very safe and we didnt even come close to running out of fuel.livernois dosent reccomend much more than 450 at the wheel.the only thing we might pick up is a little more hp in the lower ranges with the 4.25.the car is pretty sick fast right now so its realy a tough call. pluss the fact that if i change the pulley i have to take it 4 hours away to get tuned again. dont know if its worth it cuz with more boost we would down tune it anyway to around where it is now.

Very true. I am only getting tuned today to make the A/F safe. ONce the new 4.25 comes in, I will go back to the dyno and get back to back tunes for the 4.38 and 4.25 and store then on the XCal

Exactly. It has a newly redesigned tensioner which is simpler and will NOT break. As Bryan said, that image in the manual will show you where to be. Do NOT overtighten.

Verify the belt is in perfect alignment at IDLE. Watch the belt to ensure NO WALKING over the lips. The belt should be centered on all pulleys, save the tensioner (It is a 12 RIB pulley).

THEN go test drive.
