Well, I finally got a brand new Procharger P-1SC with 2 core inetrcooler, 42 lb injectors and 8 psi pulley for a great price. I'm confused on what to do about my MAF. Initially I was just gonna get a lightning mass air but then I read about it pegging at over 400rwhp. So Im thinking about just keeping the stocker and getting a MAFia from Diablosport. Also, the kit is designed as a blow thru setup. Should I convert to draw thru? Procharger has the IAT sensor on the draw side of the supercharger between the filter and bypass valve. Shouldn't the IAT be after the intercooler to get a proper readeing of air on the way to the engine?

Thanks guys

Thats the old styly kit. I have made quite a few modifacations to that. The later cars have ht IAT in the MAF. After the blower is best. Some where near the throttle body is best. For a while, I had mine tapped into the plenum. The HPX Maf is the best MAF you can get for your car.

The L meter with a MAFia at setting 4 will peg at around 400whp in a 3" tubing. Taking a sensor desinged for 90mm housing and put it in a 75mm housing will kill the range. Bigger tubing will mitigate this, but you get too much air turblance with out looong transitions. The good news is that at an 11 psi setup, the L meter and mafia worked really will in a 400whp motor. Range was around 850 ad counts and drivibility was perfect. But I didn't have any room to grow. So I went HPX from VMP The HPX meter in a 3" tubing on my car was only reading 4.6 volts at 6000 rpm and that was on 17 psi. Still alot more to go.

If you have the Maf in a long enough housing, it doesn't matter how you clock it. My Maf housing is over a foot long and is in the engine bay.

So, stock 02 mustang GT meter and housing with a MAF.ia won't cut it at 11psi? Procharger says to put the MAF in the passenger fender. Do I get a pipe to replace it and put the new 05+ HPX sensor and flange closer to the TB? Also, does the IAT measurement translate to timing adjustment or fuel adjustment as well?

Thanks for the help.

Pegging at 400 HP? You will never see 400 RWHP with just 8 lbs of boost. If you do, your car is about to go boooooom!

You will peg closer to 350 or less.

Mine P1SC pegged at 4800 rpms before I got the MAFia. I can crank mine up to 6,100 now with no issues. The MAFia is plug and kind of play. Your tune will have to be set up for the MAFia before you can actually "play".

Don at Lasota Racing can help you out with that. He is a member here and was one of the original SCT programmer trainers and knows his *****.

Thats what I did. Got some pipe the replace the old procharger stuff, and pickup some some straight alumiumn tubing on ebay and put that before the throttle body and welded the HPX maf flange to the pipe. I solderd the pigtail in place of the old MAF wiring. So its a clean install. At 17 psi, I was only around 4.6 volts. I have alot more left in the MAF.

TropicMustang:
The L MAF in a blowthough setup doesn't really go that far at all. It works find for a basic supercharged GT when attacted to the MAFia. But by itself, it has very little range. Now draw though, it will go ALOT further since it is in the much bigger pipe.
