Professional Products Intakes (Carb)

Are professional product intakes dimensions the same as their respective edelbrock brother? Im looking into a pro product vic jr style intake, but cant find the height listed anywhere on the net. Not even on the pro products homepage. An eddy vic jr intake will clear my hood, barely, I just want to make sure the dimensions are the same on the pro product equivalent.

I heard that they work pretty well and I would bet they are pretty close. I have a local shop that sells them and I got to check it out because I was considering getting one off ebay. My main bitch was that the casting is very very thin where the heater hose fitting goes. I have had those crack there before so it looked like a real weak spot to me. I also dont like the fact that "made in china" is cast into the bottom.

The design and port dimension's etc. are pretty much a knock off of Edelbrock. I've installed a few of these intake's and they are not bad but do have there draw back's. For one thing the casting inside the runner's is quite rough when compared to an Edelbrock. The runner dimension's and shape are sometime's off a bit. Overall the casting isn't perfect but they do fit alright and still make decent power..... Myself personally..... On my own viechle, I would stick with Edelbrock especially since the price difference isn't that bad.
