either one will get the job done. most of these guys will say sct. If you plan on doing many mods look into whatever your local perf. shop uses.

I'm guessing you've already looked at these sites, but for anyone else interested, here's the links to compare the two:

SCT Xcal: http://www.sctflash.com/product_xc2.php

Diablo: http://www.diablosport.com/index.php?module=htmlpages&func=display&pid=55

Hey, you should take a look at some products that SNIPER offers.

You may be interested in Special Forces or Commando tuning software.

best bet is to find out what YOUR local tuner uses. That way if you need some changes made then you will be able to do it without waiting.

I personally use SCT stuff(i have the prp package but still like the final tweak done by a tuner).

Alot of mustang people I talk to are very happy with the Diablosport
programmer.
Most of the tuners around my area use the Diablosport software though.

well unless you have the Pro Racer Package that is BS , because SCT programmers will not allow for the adjustments that Sniper does . take for example going from NA to bolting on a supercharger without having to take your car to a SCT dyno shop to get it dyno tuned .. or paying for a mail order tune to download to your programmer etc.....with Sniper you can simply open up the software and input what changes (supercharger, nitrous , turbo , etc. ) and make a new tune and then reflash your car without having to go to a dealer and paying for a new tune .......

I have the PRP but never payed that for it..

But hey to each his own..But because you are sniper dealer there is no need to "push" your software.

Show me some high horsepower cars and drag cars running the sniper software?

Has anybody heard anything about the Granatelli Fuego tuner?

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_763887_-1_10435

Good, Bad?

I don't have unlimmited funds so, if its almost on the level of the others, this may be the tuner for me!

I'm no shop and I'm not pushing crap....... I'm not an authority on the subject either...(but learning)

I bought Sniper Special Ops after reading some good comments from peeps on some other forums.

I'm in the middle of the project below in my sig.....when I finish her up in a week or so I'll post up what i think of it.......

for whatever it's worth.... I bought it because in my case (being far from a dyno, here in the desert....and having a car that shouldn't be driven after the mods below) it was the only product in it's price range that would have the adjustability i needed (and upgradeable should I need to)....and It was WAY cheaper than the SCT pro racer....there was NO way i wanted to deal with a hand held and mail order tunes

If it turns out to be a good product it will be more than good competition for some of the other tuners...Why would I invest in a pretty little packaged device when I can use my laptop and invest in the software instead.......besides....it seems Sniper is picking up ALOT of tuners and I'll be able to take my car to get it done if I really want to at a later time

LOL ok.Your can be driven with the mods below just may have some stalling issues.

Im not dissing the sniper stuff, but i doubt they have the knowledge behind them that sct or diablo does.Because i personally know 4 FORD ex-tech/programers that work for both of their compaines. Also sct stuff is constantly updated everytime u connect to the internet. So its always up to date.

Also they have zero support for any that is not obdII ready or doesnt have a flashable ecu.plus u have multiple fourms to contact sct and its tuners around the country if u have issues.

But then again i knew the all the guys at sct before it was sct..

BUt in the long run competition is GREAT it drives prices down for everyone else.

Where do you get your information from ?

here are the forums incase anybody has questions

http://www.snipertuningforums.com/

Hope that will help with some of the doubt around here ....

Zero support for anything not OBD2 ready ? since when ? I emailed Patrick at Sniper a list of mods for my own fox body , he sent me a tune file back I burned it on the chip and have been running it week after week at the track , just for giggles last week I hooked up my wideband to check the A/F ratio before I got to bristol and guess what , A/F is dead on 13.0 thru the entire RPM range and thats with the smoothing set on 0 ........car ran best 1.8th last year 7.99 at 85 before the chip , car has now run 7.67 at 89 mph with no other changes

Go ask Dwayne Guthridge ( Big Daddy) who he is using to tune with at his shop now ?

There are plenty of high horsepower cars running Sniper software you just dont hear about them because the guys that are using it are tuning their own cars and dont have shop owners getting on here posting up dyno numbers for them ...

I dont get all the negative feedback on here anytime someone has something good to say about Sniper ? Doesn't matter if its me or someone else ......what gives guys ?
