Here are some pics of my repaint. I started out stripping and dismantling in Oct 06 but the cold weather slowed me up. I finished stripping and priming Sat. The Body man came by Sat and it will be in his hands next monday. CANT WAIT!!!! I have taken this time of cold weather to start on my Stroker motor project and collect all the parts for the repaint and patchwork. Tell what you think. Any questions just shoot them my way!

Im thinking the super snake stripes:

White Body and red Stripes and I have a shelby style decklid not in the pics!

It was white with red shelby stripes before but a guy in my small town just bought one with the same paint scheme. That sucks because I've had mine for 13 years.

I bought a repro front valance to replace the original one that was dinged up but I was thinking about a fiberglass one. I was thinking of getting the one to use with the bumper, what do you guys think. Original or fiberglass? I have a fiberglass cowl hood and decklid so it is a restomod, I guess you would say.

UPDATE: 9 months, 2 body shops and alot of frustration, here is what it looks like. I'm on vacation this week so I have been there all this week working on it. The car was at the first body shop for 5 months with little progress and what they did, had to be redone completely. Finally after redoing all the stuff the other shop had done and what else needed to be done, we are jamming it this weekend and painting it next week.

before repaint:

Thats my chief mechanic and ace paint man in the bottom left hand corner. He likes to paint like that because it gives off less trash in the clear!!

I know your frustrations all to well. Bodyshops seem to push old cars to the back of the burner and work on them when they get a chance. Just dont pay up front because it gives them even less incentive to work on it
