I'm thinking about switching my insurance over to progressive. Has anyone had any problems with progressive insurance?

Thanks.

Screw them.
They put me through like half hour of info exchanging on the phone.
They quote me a low number, compared to other companies.
I explained what geico did that pissed me off, and they did the same god damn thing, even though i said if that was their policy don't waste my time.

My driving record is clean from a moving violation point of view.
I have tickets for: bad inspection, tinted windows, and no front plate.
All things normal NJ companies do not surcharge for.
Progressive quotes me 1100 which is good for our state with full coverage, and then comes back after running my driving record with 2600.
They were charging me almost 400 per year each for 4 non moving violations.
Geico did the same exact thing.

Best thing, is that after me thinking i'm getting 1100, they get back on the phone tell me 2600, and say "so do you want to do a check by phone?".
I pretty much told him to F off.

Keep in mind, you won't know the real total until you get to the "gimmie the check" point in the game.

If you don't have any moving or non moving violations you will probably be fine.

Quote your policy online, don't do it on the phone. It'll probably come up cheaper. I've had zero problems with Progressive for about three years now. I have both cars and my bike insured through them for about $1400 a year with full coverage on all three, and a loan payoff plan on the Jeep and bike. The closest I could get to that from any other company is about $2000. I haven't had an accident since 97, or ticket since 2001, so anything would be off my record at this point though. The last ticket to go on my record was probably in 2000, the one in 01 I got supervision for.

Progressive kicks ass. I pay about $240 for six months (liability only). But I'm also 27 and haven't gotten a ticket in about 5 years. The best part is that I do everything online, talking on the phone to insurance salespeople annoys me. Almost as much as much as mall jewlery store employees.

I'll tell ya about Progressive. I'm with 'em......and I'm thinking about switching. Not because of their rates or any type of runaround that I've had with 'em, but for the simple fact that Progressive Insurance is founded by PETER LEWIS. This guy is one of the biggest liberals in America. He endorses the ACLU and is probably pretty good friends with George Soros (I'm not even going to waste my time on who George Soros is). Let's just say that if anybody out there still holds any kind of conservative values (traditional marriage, right to bear arms, capitalism over communsim/socialism) you might want to think about NOT switching to Progressive.

Just my .02.

Oh yeah, and I'm not buying anymore Fords until they stop with all their endorsing of "gay rights" (to which I have nothing against homosexuals....I simply agree that "marriage" is the unity of a man and a WOMAN). Ford is losing MILLIONS of dollars because they refuse to remain NEUTRAL on social issues and instead go out of their way to support issues that MOST Americans DON'T agree with. I'm not saying I'll sell the Fox......but I'm definitely NOT buying anymore vehicles from Ford (my lifelong FAVORITE car manufacturer) UNTIL they get their act together and STOP endorsing PRO-European political viewpoints. If anybody wants to change this country inside out, make it your personal goal, not your corporate goal. That's just my opinion.

Until then....I just got married to my wife 9 days ago (not my best friend Steve), I believe there IS a battle between "right" and "wrong" (good and evil), and would actually like to keep taxes LOW.

....and I'm pretty sure StangGT1995 would agree with me.
