your gonna spend money to build a 331 stroker and then put a stock cam in it???

yeah maybe. i cant go with a nice cam like id like because of my old man. so it would have to be such a mild cam that i mise well leave the stock HO cam in it for now and swap put to more aggressive cam after i do a 5 speed swap.

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

WTF, how is your old man keeping you from putting in a cam?
like he's not going to notice a stroker kit going in, but the moment you upgrade the cam he's gonna crap his pants?
Put in whatever cam you want and let him cry about it later. what's he going to do, take away your car?

Do what I did when my dad didn't want me to put a cam in my motor, leave it hidden, strip down the block and throw in the different cam when you assemble the motor. Whats his reasoning for not wanting you to put a different cam in. Plus its gonna suck more to tear it all back down to put a cam in it later. And 300 hp is gonna be hard to get with GT40ps and a stock cam I think, 270-285 maybe.

we will see. idk what iw ant to do. half is saying..just do the built 331. the other is saying be smart about it. sell the stroker kit. build a mild 306. and call it a day. it would be plenty to get me into some trouble. idk yet.

its a whole new rear end with ford racing 3.73's that. put the 5 lug axles in. very simple to do. pulled the brake lines off new rear end becasue they were pinched. swaping everything over.
paid 100 bucks for ranger axles. perfect shape. brand new drums. and 2 brand new 235/50/17 tires.

teaser pics

^ yeah i am going to slicksix. just finished cleaning up the underside of car... i was cleaning it and im still happy. i have found NO RUST ANYWHERE on this car. the torque boxes are perfect. im going to have a guy i know enforce them sometime soon. wish i could do it now but the welder is at his shop so no can do lol.

well i need to track down some new lower controlling arm bolts. went to napa..nothing..ford. guy didnt even know what i was talking about with "lower controlling arm hardware" dumb people..lol.

any idea where i can look? i was thinking hardware store. on the bolt it says 10.9..but these are metric? so as long as i get a 8 up grade bolt then i would be fine right?

so in mean time i cleaned it up some...

added the fulid/friction modifer and got the diff cover on. now if i could find my 11MM open end wrench i would put the brake lines on the new rear end but it missing in action at the moment.

i want to drive it so bad. it sucks..FULL tank of gas. ( from when gas was 3.99 ) still sitting in it. i haven't even got to go out and waste gas..and right now i can afford to. only thing holding me back is tags, registration, insurance..and my bowl **** ticket. thats really pissing me off. this sucks. i want to see the 3.73's how much of a difference they make!!!

ill just have to do a burnout in the garage or something haha.

If you really wana burn gas then just start her up and rev her in the garrage
As for the hardware, most NAPAs around here have a large bolt/nut bin with grade 8 and better stuff in it. Just bring a good bolt for comparison and have at it. Could also try a salvage yard. Or call MM or Steeda, mabey they can point you in the right direction
