I believe the problem that you are experiencing is called NASCAR. Recommended fix involves changing the channel.

I think you need to get it re-aimed, or convergence, or something like that.

Sounds right up there. I know a jolt can nock them out of wack. They say not to move them too much. Looks like you just need to have someone come out and adjust the mirrors, or lens', or whatever they are called. I had a similar issue not too long ago. Mine was under warranty though. Good luck.

Havn't moved the tv for a while until after this started. It happened during a commercial, it was fine then the blue was out of whack.

I took the back cover off and looked directly into the bulbs/crt's/whatever they're called. The blue is messed up there, so it's not an alignment issue. I'll be borrowing a soldering iron from work tuesday and Im going to go over all the solder connections on the board for the blue crt. Im guessing the problem is either going to be there, or in the crt itself.

I've had this tv since 2003, and my Circuit City warranty plan ran out last year. I don't know how long Hitachi's warranty is good for.

I was searching through some old threads and found this. I just wanted to say that after a couple of research and some testing, I found the problem was a semiconductor STK392-110. I ordered 2 of them for around $20 after shipping, changed them out, and it's working perfectly now.
