i used my xcalII with a mailorder tune

when i get to 2,000rpm's i can feel my car pick up a little bit, could this be from the timing advance?

i'm trying to figure out if i have a miss (it idles perfect)

The extra HP is from the advanced timing. I wouldn't trust a mailorder tune from anyone though, unless it's from Tim at MPH. If the timing is advanced too much, bad things can happen.

i think i advanced the timing 2* over the mailorder tune (whatever that was) and it seems to run just fine without any pinging, do you think i have it advanced a lil too much? should i be able to feel it?

Like I said, I don't trust mail order tunes. But it's your call. You can damage the engine even if it isn't pinging.

there's two ways to pick up power. advance the timing, or lean the a/f ratio. most tuners do a combination of both.

what makes you think there is a miss?

You know you've advanced the timing too much when it pings, indicating detonation.
