I feel like this is a stupid question - but here it goes
Whats the right way to get my car up on jackstands? and take it off when im finished?
I just want to make sure i dont destroy the rocker panels or mess anything up or hurt myself.
I need to get under the vechicle to check my adjustable clutch cable and inspect the clutch fork. I think i had the cable adjusted too tight. I was having a problem where it was very difficult to shift into gears - so i adjusted the cable tighter and the problem went away completely! But i was driving and the clutch pedal kind of "gave away" very quickly - i thought my foot slipped off of it initially but i can step on the pedal now and the car stays in gear and its nearly impossible to get it to change gears.
So im assuming the car will have to go on 4 jackstands so the car wont roll away because i will have to cycle the clutch to check the cable out. Plus my e-brake is so weak its almost useless.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
