I am doing the Granada swap and I have a few questions. I bought a Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve in hopes of using that rather than the stock Granada unit.
1) Do I have to use the Granada Proportioning valve in the swap?
2) Could I still use my old Mustang proportioning valve?
3) Can I use the Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve by itself?

The thing is the Wilwood unit has only one inlet and one outlet, therefore I can only adjust either the front or rear brakes. If anyone can let me know I would appreciate it.

Also, anyone have pictures of how they plumbed their Granada brake setups?

Back when I did my swap from 4 drums to 4 discs on a 67 Stang , I never changed the Stang's stock proportioning valve, left it as is and never had a problem.

You can use the wilwood valve by itself. plumb it inline with the rear brake line. you dont need a prop. valve for the fronts just a junction block to split the fronts from the master.Bob

This is the way I recommend installing the Wilwood....in fact I will be installing one on a friend's car in the morning exactly this way. Do away with the factory proportioning valve altogether. I usutally go to a trailer store and ger a simply T-block to use in the front brakes.

After installed set the Wilwood for maximum pressure to the rear and on a safe road start testing the brakes. Keep decreasing the pressure to the back until they no longer lock up before the fronts do.

This is one of those deals that can be done several different ways. I put the Wildwood valve in the rear line but have seen a lot of street cars without the valve. Too much rear brake will be bad in an emergency stop so make sure you check the system out before hitting the street.

Thanks for the replies everyone. So what I guess I will do is put the proportioning valve inline to the rear brakes. Now this T block that was being referred to for the front brakes, can I pick this up a Pep Boys? What exactly should I ask for when I go into the store.

I picked up a Master Cylinder yesterday. I tried to get one from a 68 disc brake car but they are on back order around me. Instead I picked up a MC from a 1974 Maverick. Looks nearly the same as the drum brake MC I had previously had besides the reservoir size.

Thanks for the replies.

One more quick question. Where can I purchase this junction block or splitter for the two front lines?
