im trying to get some prostars on my 94/95 spindles, and they are not clearing the caliper. how is everyone else getting around this? if i use enough spacer, im gonna have to knock the studs out and put in longer ones...

I run 99+ v6/gt pbr calipers and a 7/16 spacer IIRC. To be NHRA legal you will need studs anyway.

I have posted a link to a site that gives great details about this

I don't have access to that pc or I would give you the link here

Do a search using my name or Prostar, etc

His first name is Jay IIRC

the 99+ should clear a lot easier. the problem im having is with the caliper bracket not the caliper its self. the bracket is hitting the raised part around the lug. not worried about nhra legal right now.

i think with some grinding and the 5/16" spacer i have it might work.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

The longer studs are for the back wheels. Moroso doesn't even make a longer stud for the front. The knurl size is something weird. You have to run a small spacer, and you can clearance the bracket with a grinding wheel. I got it to work with one of those $10 spacers from Pep boys. Just make sure you run the correct lug nut. It is something like 1.60" shank, so that you grab as much of the stud with the nut as you can.

If your running the pre-99 calipers/bracket you can grind off the cross bar.

I ground it down pretty well, but I didn't feel comfortable grinding it off. Do they actually work ok if you grind the cross bar off completely?
