The season has started and I've started driving with the new PU motor and tranny mounts I have put in this winter. But there's a lot of vibration at several rpm windows! At 2000 rpm something in the doors, the glove box and the Pro Ratchet shifter rattles quite a bit and it's really annoying me!

Is this considered normal with PU mounts and would a switch to rubber Lakewood muscle mount help get the cruise-ability back? Or do I have a source for abnormal vibrations to find?

The mounts are these from Prothane:

Wow, interested to hear others feedback on this. I was/am considering buying the same set.

The other interesting thing is the price at Summit ($131). Just today I got an email from CJ Pony for an "inventory blowout" on the same part at nearly $170!!! What got me looking at this today was the catalog I received from CJ Pony had this listed at $149, but now it is $189 list on the inventory blowout. So, Summit it is, if I buy them that is.

Hello,

i use the same mounts on my new stroker without the pu tranny mount. The car is shaking like crazy.
At 3000 rpm i see nothing in my rear mirror and the shifter from my TKO is rattling like hell. I think it´s normal with that kind of mounts.

I'll put in a set of Lakewood rubber "Muscle Mounts" I have on the shelf and let you know what the difference is.
