I pulled my codes and this is what ive got. what do i need to do to fix them? also whats the fuel pump thing? and how do i fix the idle air control problem? i added a 70mm tb and c&l intake and have been having problems with the idle. i replaced the tps and have it set to .99v thats it low as i could get it and the tps is drilled to allow more movement. now it seems more it coming about

Did you replace the fuel filter lately? That first code I usually see people complain about is from the emergency shutoff switch in the trunk being disconnected. Others have had the problem due to a clogged vent tube.

The second one sounds like it's definately related to the TB/plenum.. but hopefully somebody will chime in to help with that.

Oh, here's what the second code is:

This DTC is set when the PCM detects engine idle speed that is greater than the desired rpm.

Possible causes:

IAC circuit short to GND

Damaged IAC valve

IAC valve stuck open

Vacuum leaks

Failed EVAP system

Damaged PCM

Checks:

Disconnect IAC valve and look for little or no change in engine rpm as an indication of a stuck or damaged valve.

Put your stock TB/plenum back on, and see if that fixes your idle problem. If it does, add the TB. Then try again, if it still works, then try the plenum, etc. This way you can narrow down the problem and work from there.

Vacume Leaks Help

ok ever since i installed my tb /plenum ive had nothin but problems. first the tps was bad replaced and its set at .98 now and the car idles at 1600 when in nutrual wile moving but at a stop its 1000. ive reset the computer multiple times and nothing. i also unpluged the iac and pluged the whole and the car ran good idled at 900 and drove like normal. i was told that when you turn off the iac its supposed to die. mine doesnt is this because of a vacume leak?? how do i check for leaks? i also keep getting this code after a week of drivin. can i just drive with the iac unpluged or will it through codes?

Unplugging the IAC when the engine is warm/hot won't do anything.. it only serves a purpose when the engine is cold (sort of like a choke.)

You can check for vacuum leaks by spraying WD-40 or using a spray bottle with soapy water, and just spray it on all the hoses while watching for bubbles. If you see any, you've got a leak.

thanks. is it ok to pray the soapy water on the intake to check for leaks too? i think maybe a gasket it bad on the tb or iac. or maybe the intake isnt tight enough. it all looked good just want to double check. so its ok to pray it there? im guessing just to keep the water away from the injectors.
