Well here's the story. So 4 of my friends and me are going to a very isolated spot where people have been known to race. We had no intentions on racing there right then but some people generally show up and race. We were bored and wanted to see if anything was going on. So we pull behind the place (there is a bank on the corner) and there was a nice trap waiting for us. About 4 cops surround us and pull us all over. At this point, we had broken no laws nor done remotely close to street racing. So they take everyone licenses and do the whole gig where they check their cpus and crap. Then of course, the big bad fat cop comes out to talk some major trash. Now I say big bad fat cop because that is exactly what he was. He went on to bs us about he could take us all to jail for street racing. None of us were street racing or spectating for that matter. He had nothing on us. He then said he logged us into the computer and the next time he caught any one of us, hed come find all of us and take us to jail (this is the 4th time ive been "logged" in 2 years). Being that not a single one of our cars had front license plates, he gave us a speech on that. Then he threatens us a few more times and throws are licenses in the air and lets them land on the ground. I mean, I almost would like to be a cop so that I could not be a cop like him. I mean, instead of being professional, and doing his job like he should. He was just being a complete ******* about it and trying to pull the whole "scared straight" program on us. Well, I thought it was funny that I had this guy pegged from the moment he took our licenses. I told all my friends exactly what would happen and that he would come over and talk a lot of trash. He looked arrogant and cocky. Well, long story short. No one got a ticket. No one got in any trouble but we all got "logged" once again. Although, I do give the cops credit for not taking my friend to jail. He has warrants and they knew this. Maybe the cop wasn't such an ******* but was just trying to appear that way to scare us. Oh well. I figured I'd let ya'll in on this story.

But, the thing that ticks me off the most. I never get pulled over when I'm breaking the law. I only get pulled over when a cop thinks that I might think about breaking the law...oh well...

this is all in texas btw...

That's funny I had a cop try and get me for watching a movie on my in-dash once, eventhough he didn't even know I had a screen till he pulled me over for tint. Which took him seriously 5 minutes to find. I mean my tint was sooo light he had to use his flashlight and his finger to feel for where the tint was cut, just to prove I had it. Anyways he says to me "you know having one of those out and viewable by the driver is illegal" Keep in mind that the screen was out but was only showing the options for cd playback. I then tell him in my smartass teenager voice "No, it's illegal if I were watching TV or a movie, why don't you go and pull over almost every luxury car with navigation systems if that's the case?" He then proceeds to ask me how much it cost me. I tell him about $900 including install, he then goes and gives me this "yea right look." I know he thaught it was stollen and that kind of made me mad. Anyways there are just certain cops that are dicks pick someone or a group out and hope to get them for something dumb, ie tint. And for all those in Cali or planning to come stay out of Huntington Beach if your not rich and white, sorry I had to say it like that but it's sadly true. And I know from atleast 3 examples...

Yeah we all know the target certain cars and certain areas. It's sad that he had to act like that on a pretty trying situation. Good thing yall kept your cool and didn't let him rattle ya too much. That's the best thing to do, act like a bigger man than he/she is.

How old are you? Cops tend to really hate any young guys behind the wheel. Although I've had a few nice cops tell me that not all traffic cops are foghats. I often find it hard to believe.

I was at a small show looking at the '05 Mustang the other day, when a motorcycle cop showed up. Some of the guys there asked him if he had time to eat a hotdog, so he stopped to hang out. Turns out the guy knew his crap about classic Mustangs and even owned a '68. He also had a license plate frame on his motorcycle that said, "Smile. I could be behind you."

Kinda proved to me that you don't exactly have to be an ******* cop to get on a motorcycle.

Maybe you should just break the law all the time then you'll have a small chance of being caught lol.
It's a shame that they would do that and that they could do that. That's I guess they just assumed that your were racing because you were in a stang. Well look at the bright side, no ticket and it would be worse of you were actually racing and got caught. Just wondering what kind of cars did you friends have?

Legally you don't have to have a rear view mirror if you have both your side mirrors. Truckers couldn't be on the road if there was a law against having a rear view mirror. I'd be kicken some a$$ if i got pulled over for something retarded like that.

are you serious? there is a reason trucks dont need rear view mirrors and thats because they have trailors attached to the back of them. what do they need a rear view for just to see the trailor right up against the window? wow

well id file a complaint...but theyd just ignore it...i live in a state where street racing is very frowned upon...very frowned upon...Any chance cops get to mess with street racers, or people who look like they might be street racing, they will. I didnt think to ask the cops name...i figure why would i want to know the name of a pig? Who cares honestly? But i have met some cool cops and some ones who do their jobs right. Once again, its cool that he pulled us over...I dont think 4 cops were needed to jump us but oh well. That didnt bother me. The only part that bothered me was his demeanor towards us. No reason for it. At the moment he pulled us over, we had broken no laws. Sure he can suspect whatever he wants but thats not my problem. If i were the cops i would wait till we at least stopped our cars in a spot where known street racing occurs. At least then you would have something. No, we got stopped while driving behind oh a road with like 5 of us in a row. My friends were driving crap cars. Only me and the celica were worth even looking at...lol. On a good note. Every damn one of those cops managed to flash light the inside of my car for a few minutes. No one else had their car flashlighted for more then a few seconds. And only by 1 cop. I got every cop and for multiple minutes at a time. I duno if they were trying to find something illegal or if they just wished they had a car like mine...lol... It was funny though when the cop asked me if i was street racing. I gave him the answer, sir I drive a v6 mustang. Everyone in the right mind knows u can't race a v6 mustang....lol...He then proceeded to have me pop my hood (which i didnt have to do but did anyways, Cause i wasnt about to try and start any more crap with these cops). He then looks upon my engine, has no clue what he saw and was like yea whatever....u don't race. My engine looks bone stock other then the big nitrous solenoids sticking out on the top of it(and maybe the mac cai). And he didnt even notice that. I figured he didnt believe it was a v6 but i dont think he could have told the difference anyways. I mean any person who knows anything about engines can spot a nitrous solenoid. And thats "illegal". But, i didnt have my bottle in the back anyways so it doesnt matter. More proof that i wasn't racing. Car is built for nitrous, yet no bottle. I also had the numbers still on my car from my recent visit to the track. I was like sir, i race at the track. hence, i still havent washed the numbers off my car yet. I see no reason to street race. I agree with you 100%. I think that made him more mad...lol oh well

p.s. im a 20 year old that looks 16. They love to pick on me...lol

its funny how age plays such a part in how people react to these sorts of actions. The people over at v6power.net are all like, u deserved it man. and blah blah blah. I guess being young means that you get treated like **** and its ok as long as the other person is older. Being that im 20, i figured i would at least get treated like an adult these days...oh well...

i wouldnt say no good...they had many reasons to be out there...people do race in that area...not exactly where we were. But close enough. Like i said before, i don't mind that they pulled us over. Although, they should have waited to see if we broke a law. What i think is that they saw that we saw them and got their panties in a bind and just said screw it, and surrounded us fbi style.

Cops are interesting, I haven't been pulled over yet but i see them look at me funny whenever I see one... I think they expect you to do something wrong.... I think Nice cars are ones that get a lot of attention though, cause everytime I talk to a person that doesn;t know me i get the whole "you are spoiled to have such a nice car" speech and they are dumbstruck when I tell them i paid for it.... i get the same looks from all the old people around here too

If you're trying to moch me or something, you did a poor job, read what i typed again and think about it. I was just giving an example why you don't need a rearview mirror. I hope i didn't hurt you feelings to much, but hey, you typed it.

Don't make yourself look bad for others to see, and i don't want to see it either.
