i got:
lean on both banks P0171 and P0174
o2 heater circuit malf. bank 1 sensor 1 P0135
low fuel pressure (cleared yesterday, did not come back today. but now has lean codes)
DPFE EGR circuit low imput P1400

so, im thinking i need a fuel pump, o2 sensors, and anyone got any ideas on the EGR? my gasket that goes from the EGR tube to the intake plenum is messed up. ill probably replace that and see if that works.

on the fuel pump, i have a 98 and im not sure if its got the return or returnless fuel system. i do have 2 lines off the passenger side fuel rail, does that mean its return style?

thanks for the replies.

98 is return style. I'd just replace the fuel pump first. The other codes may be caused by the lean condition and my go away after you fix it.

I am going to suggest something.

P0171, P0172, P0174, P0175 can be caused by a dirty or messed up MAF. I would clean the MAF as well.

To clean the MAF, you need a Torx T-20 tamper proof screw driver to remove the 2 screws. Take out the MAF electronics, spray with Electrical Contact Cleaner and if need be use a Q-Tip on the wires. Be extremely careful if you use the Q-tip.

for the EGR code you need a DPFE sensor.. common if it was a low flow code i would put a vac pump on the vac nipple on the egr and at idle pump some vacum too the egr.. it should stall the car... if it does then it's the dpfe... if not the egr ports are clogged...

as far as the the engine codes.. . for the lean codes i would put a fuel presure gauge on it and if your readings are normal then i would look at the maf or a poss. vac leak..
