check for broken vac lines.the lines are on the passanger side and run under the air inlet tube frome the air filter to throttle body.they are hard plastic lines of different colors.i think red,tan,orange...not sure.can replace broken sections with small rubber vac lines from any parts store.

I have the exact two codes on my cobra. Thermactor system is the smog system. Check to see of your smog pump is working properly. Do a vacuum test on the 2 check valves and make sure the diapharms open. I just purchased a new smog pump because mine I believe took a dump. It pushes very little air. Will install new one today when i get home along with an adjustable clutch cable, quadrant and firewall adjuster.

Did your CEL come on? Mine did not but I've heard where some people's do. The computer is not detecting the smog system. It is as if there is a smog pump delete kit installed.

So i went down to play with the car again attempt to fix it well.... Their was a big hose off i beleive it is the smog pump its the thing under the alternater...? it was completly off so i put it on and start it everything is cool. i think i fixed the problem...

But then i wanted to see how it runs when it was warmed up now half way through my drive it was doing it again it would not idle it would stall if i just sit their and pull my wheel to the right or left hard it will catch idle if i do it slow if i do it hard it stalls. I come home and look and the hose was off again? So im wondering if i did fix the problem and the hose fell off or if the problem is still their it sure ran a hell of alot better with that hose on tho for couple minutes...

I will update within the next couple days letting you guys know what happens

The AIR pump hose should not affect drivability. It is strange that it keeps coming off. You are using a worm clamp on the hose, right?

I think that even if the TAB and TAD are stuck closed, there is a means of bypass for the pump (I'd need to check the manual). The factory would do this because if the electrical connectors came off the solenoids, the backpressure would kill the pump. They dont want that.

Blkcobra, I keep eating pumps on the 94. If I might ask, what flavor of pump (Reman'd Cardone, etc) did you go with and how does it sound?

Good luck and thanks, respectively.

Well i had a vac leak on the smog pump and the hose was off So i fixed both Definatly helped the problem.. It does it like 1 out of 50 times soemtimes im wondering after the fix should i clear the old codes from my ecu?

Could they still be on there? And i also probably need to bump my idle just a little bit and im good. Im thinking eventually im going to delete it my exhaust sounded so good it would crackle like a 4.6 and stuff i dont know do i need to clear them codes tho anybody?
