i need a new pulley for my novi. where can i get one? i tried to call paxton but there is never an answer. i can get an ultragrip pulley from MPH for $150. is this the normal price for a single pulley? seems kinda high to me. how hard is it to change the pulleys once i get the s/c off? is it something i can do myself?

Usually pulleys are about $80. The "Ultra Grip" pulley has notches cut into it to help prevent belt slip, I have one on my P-1SC. Changing the pulley, at least on a ProCharger (and I don't see why this would be different on any other blower) is easy - take off the blower, use an impact (easiest) or a socket to take the bolt off thats holding the current pulley on the supercharger - replace with new pulley, put some loc-tite on the threads of the bolt, replace bolt and you are done. Make sure you snug the bolt down as best as possible though, you don't want a loose pulley.

Probably not, I run a 16# pulley and don't have issues on a 6 rib setup.

I have a Reichard Racing ultra-grip pulley. It's a great peice no slip even when I had the "stock" vortech kit belt made for a pulley 1/3" longer... I did however just shred a belt, but amazingly the only pulley it DIDNT slip off of was the blower pulley hah! Call Modular Powerhouse and they will hook you up with whatever you want, pulley from paxton or RR pulley.

To put mine on my vortech I left the blower on the car, took the inlet off (power pipe in my case) and put a wrench on the nuts that hold the impeller in place, this allowed me to wrench on the bolt that holds the pulley onto the blower without it spinning. Impacting would work...but just like a crank pulley, head stud, etc., I wouldn't use an impact for fear of breaking something sensitive.
