Pulley Help

I have an 87 5.0 motor that I'm gonna be putting into my mustang that is going to be carbed and will use the standard V-Belt setup. I was wondering if I could use these aluminum 5.0 pullies 79-93 Mustang GT/5.0L Aluminum 3-piece Performance Underdrive Pulley Kit- Machined [ BPW-WP02010 ] from Brothers Performance Warehouse even though they're meant for a serpentine setup and I'll be running the standard rotation water pump.

no they won't work. you might be able to use a 70-up v-belt pulley setup since the bolt pattern will match up with you balancer but you might run into problems with your timing pointer if you are running a stock early model water pump with the passenger side outlet.
