Pullies are generally good for about 8 hp! Can you really feel it, not likely. I just had mine installed a few weeks ago. Would I have noticed a difference if I got in the car and did not know that had been installed? Not likely.

Even so, good mod for the money. I have had no electrical issues with lights dimming or anything like that.

You will notice a slight bit of power. Is it in your head? Maybe, but fact remains it WILL give you power.

if you can feel a difference of 10hp you have one dead nuts accurate butt dyno.

Maybe only 2 or 3 RWHP on the 4.6 I think. But I think it's a good Idea to take advantage of all the extra power you can get.

I think I will get some pulleys like the motorvation waterpump pulley just because they look better than the ugly ass stock pulleys.

I gained 2hp, stripped my crank bolt, had a slight rise in engine temp, and my lights would dimm when stopping at night.

If your start adding real hp later on ,you will want your (stock) ballencer pulley. Vibration on your crank, due to light ballencer pulley, will a cause loss of power. The steeda ballencer pulley is too light as far as race applications are concerned.

As far as gaining 10 hp........not!!!

did you dyno to tell that you only gained 2hp? do you still have it? if you don't do a before and after dyno on the same day you cannot make a valid claim to what they did and didn't do. I agree 10rwhp is pretty high, i have NEVER seen u/d pullies give 10rwhp. Of the many before/after dynos i have seen steeda pullies (the only ones i recommend) consistantly relieve 5-8 rwhp i've never seen a set give less than 5 hp.
I have steeda pullies on my daily driver with NO issues, and as far stripping your crank bolt, that is installer error.
How does a lighter ballencer lose HP? that defies the laws of physics, it takes more work to turn a heavier object than a lighter one, (steeda balencer IS SFI approved, so your vibration issue is bunk too, more installer error?)

Most of the guys that I've talked to who have real power adders (S/C, Turbo) tell me that they had to get rid of their pullies in place of the stockers because of various problems...can any one explain why this is?

slowing the waterpump down on boost can result in cooling problems, sprayed or N/A are fine. Heat is a byproduct of compressing air, so heat from the turbo or s/c + heat from compression, this is why people use intercoolers. also on a s/c the crank pulley will underdrive the supercharger, and (with steeda pullies) the crank pulley and water pump pulley are sized so that the stock crank pulley and u/d water pump pulley interfere with each other and can't be used together.

I put on a BBK-cai and some steeda pullies and my car deff pulls harder after 5'800 rpm's. It made my car breath alot better. Good mod!

Most race engines have a larger( heavier) balencer(often refered to as "super damper") to dapen the the vibration created by the motor that is transfered to the crank. Sorry you think the issuue is bunk. Try this link:

http://www.popularhotrodding.com/enginemasters/articles/ford/smallblock/0306mm_windsor2/

Scroll down to "Crankshaft Torsionals"

Im not the physics expert, but most serious racers use heavy dampers to reduce vibration.

As far as installer error; your right I broke it and I had to fix it and it was a pain; but it dosent have a lot to do with the vibration issue and using a heavy damper.

I really doubt you can feel any pull after 5800 rpms maybe after 4800

I hope you didn't waste alot of time searching for that artical, the windsor motor is externally ballancedl. The Mod motors are internally balanced
