Pullin motor.. Tranny question

Like topic says im pullin my motor for the first time and was wondering does the tranny gotta come out with it??

you dont have to pull the trany but i would recomend it couse when you go tho put the motor back in it a pian to line up, But take the rad out and pull the motor forward when its loose so it slids off the input shaft but like i said its a pain when you go to line it back up and its very easy to drop a trans. Yeah if your pulling the motor and trans pull them together. Especially if its an AOD. A T5 isn't that bad, but an AOD is heavy.

no, tranny does not have to come out w/ the engine. but if you leave tranny in, you'll have to leave a jack under the tranny or use something else to support the front of it while the engine is not in place...good luck with it
