Hello,
Been a long time since I posted anything.....
I would like to install a bush button starter and toggle switch in my 65 Mustang Coupe.......they are just cool !!
I am not the 'sharpest knife in the block' electrically.
I have a Painless Wiring harness and would like to keep the ignition key, for (some) security.
I have not been able to get any help from either Painless or Joes Racing on installing a push button starter, no doubt potential legal ramifications in the event of a fire etc.
So, my understanding is, currently power comes from the fuse box to the ignition switch. Turning the switch provides power to acccessory #1, then #2, then finally a momentary switch for the starter.
Can someone please help me with a diagram for the toggle and push button starter. Thanks in advance.

Could the ignition key not be retained to provide power to the starter solenoid circuit, however the circuit would only be completed when the toggle switch was closed and the momentary push button actuated?
