I've run into a problem while redoing my engine. Now maybe there is a chance someone knows my answer. So I will ask this first. I am putting AFR 165 heads and an Anderson Ford N41 cam, with comp cam 1:6 Roller Rockers into my 1990 302. I need new hardened pushrods. Does anyone know the size I would need?

If the answer is no, is there anyone in the Suffolk County, LI area that knows of a shop that would sell the pushrod measuring tool (besides SK Speed, the one in Rockville Centre is the one that holds it and would like to save a trip). I need the one that is basically a fake pushrod and I can measure for new ones, not measure the existing one lol. I'm trying to eliminate ordering it.

Thank you in advance for any answered questions...

Make your own...

Take an old pushrod and cut it in half then cut an additional inch from one of the two pieces. Thread the inside of each end with a #10-24 tap. Use a 2" piece of #10-24 threaded rod to put it back together. Adjust the push rod length to the correct size by twisting the two halves together.

nice with tap size and everything I made my own in same way...i think I used an oddball tap with finer threads but that sounds perfect.
