I have Cobra 2-piston calipers on my 2000 GT and I just installed new Baer rotors and put in some Hawk brake pads. The pads sounded like they were rubbing the rotors the entire drive home. Someone said that the Hawk HPS pads might be thicker causing them to rub the rotors. I changed out the Hawk pads and put the Cobra pads back in and they don't rub anymore.
In my haynes manual it tells me to remove the dust boot and sliding pin from the anchor bracket and lubricate it. I looked at the Cobra calipers and anchor bracket, they don't have a dust boot and sliding pin to take out and lubricate? Can anyone help here? Thank you.
