I put my new coil springs on but the car seems to sit lower then I wanted it to. There 620 front springs stiffer but shorter then the others it had on it. I did not hook the shocks up yet will the shocks raise it any? I guess i might have to take the shocks back off and add a pad up top to raise it an inch or two?

Thanks,
Jim

I would wait to let the springs settle down... drive around for a week, I am sure it will drop 1"-2". The shocks will not affect the height of the car... Yes, you can add 1" insulation pad for the coil springs to raise it. I don't know if you can add more than an inch - anyone?

Indeed, 620's are shorter and stiffer than stock springs. They will NOT settle as another poster states. See if you like the 620's as is before you try raising the car. The shocks will NOT raise the car. IMO, pads are a poor choice.

The fact that 620's are shorter and stiffer is well known which begs the question of why you installed them. At least they went in WITHOUT a spring compressor! :D (Didn't they?)

air shocks in the rear will cause the problem with the rear being to high if u dont have them then u can opt for lowering springs, or maybe u have shackles that are adjustable if so move the bolt to a hole more towards the top.

Actually I have installed 620's on my '68 Stang... had to use spring compressor. They did settle one inch after a week of driving.

Stick around, it'll happen sooner or later. :nonono:

yea, but, everyone fights, doesn't mean we don't like each other. just means we think diffrent, theres a reason why the quote "All animals are born equal, but some are born more equal than others." (Animal Farm, 1949) is such a good way to say that no one is equal, thus there will be fighting, but hey if there was no fighting there would be no real answers would there?
