I cant getit to latch right. It catches on the first click, but it wont stay down.

Maybe notching the holes on the hinges will let me move it some more?

i had the same problem. i notched out my actual hood latch to move it up and that didnt help. i didnt come up with a solution so i ditched the latch and just installed hood pins. thats a decision you will have to make though.

you can also move the latch mechanism up by loosening the bolts, moving it up, then re-tightening them.

yeah, might as well get some extras for the hinges...

You have to cut the dowels off the back of the latch first.

I ended up losening the bottom part of the hinges and moving it till I could get it to close. And the rubber bumpers were way too high.

Please get hood pins, I would hate to hear another horror story about a flying hood. I didn't want them either, but when I had to do the exact same thing getting my hood to it, I decided as much as I'm not a fan of hood pins, it was probably in my best interest to install them

+34559343 on the pins.

since my hood doesn't latch (barely misses the lock mechanism by 1/4"--gonna weld on a small piece of metal so it'll lock it in... been too lazy to do it), i got the locking mr. gasket pins.

All I gotta say is that I am glad you won't be running in front of me at the track on the 14th. My car is fast in a straight line but sucks at dodging debris coming off other cars.
