So my car suddenly started knocking/ticking loud. I checked the lifters and seems to be fine with just a hair movement on them. thats normal right? So i had a certified mechanic look and listen to it and he said it was possible a rod. So my best guess is a new engine? Im thinking about a iron cast block but i want it tuff and fast. Stage 2 heads and cams and headers so could someone give me their advice and what all do i need to get for a new engine. starting out with a block? Its a 2000 mustang gt with 80000 miles on 75 shot of nitrous. automatic
