Car picked up at least 6hp through the power band and a max of 9 hp. Picked up 13 ft/lb throughout the band. Plus, the car sounds BEAST. Deep tone, not raspy at all, no drone either on the highway. Here’s looking forward to the LT’s and x-pipe. J (new breaks work good too) Oh, and it was on a mustang dyno which is why the numbers are so low, well, that and the fact that it’s bone stock....

97 predator How do you like the pypes kit. Fit and finish, install, sound? I just ordered one yesterday from Brenspeed. 302.99 is a good price for a ss cat back

you're gonna love it dude. the quality is great. the violator mufflers look badass and are so much lighter than the factory anchors. it's crazy. fit is real good, i have a little tweaking to do, i ran out of steam from working on the breaks.

the sound is hands down better than most catbacks i've heard. i would say it is between flowmasters and bassani in sound. what you'll notice is the mufflers are standard shaped, but are straight through. the tube cuts through the muffler at an angle, say 35 degrees. just sounds awesome and made great gains perofrmance wise. 9hp and 13ft-lb of torque? I'll take it. And between the weight loss and power increase my seat of the pants meter says the car is signifigantly quicker.

I'll have vids up today at some point. I can't wait to install my longtubes and catted x pipe.

the camera isn't the best in the world so sorry for the background noise. it really doesn't capture it completely, i may try with a better one.

That is sounds pretty damn good. That is going to be loud with my off-road h pipe. Now if Brenspeed would send me shipping confirmation so I would know it was shipped and when It will be here

oh hell yeah it will be loud as piss. i wanted an offroad h but i have to deal with inspection and neighbors, lol. i may still get an offroad h for inbetween inspections.

at low speed it sounds like flows and has a low rumble, but when u get on them they get LOOOOOOUUUUUD. it has a very clean sound.

Well it was on a Mustang Dyno so I know it would be lower than usual. I didn't expect it to be that low. Maybe she needs a tune up...? The car is literally bone stock except for the catback at this point.

way to make me look like an idiot

those numbers are VERY low for an 'o1-'o2, even on a mustang dyno and it sounds like your car is a 5spd as well

either the dyno operator messed up the input numbers or your car is in dire need of a major tune up. might want to switch gas stations too

what are your 1/4 times?

Mustang dyno puts a variable load on the car depending on weight. A dynojet gives the same load to every car on it. I had my car on a dynomite dyno which is similar to a dyno jet, the guy says it reads about 40 hp lower then a dynojet.

So 180hp is about 220hp and 220 ft lbs is about 260 ft lbs. Seems right to me, I ran 236hp and 258 ft lbs stock.

Then why would my car run so well with a x pipe and exhaust on a mustang dyno with 240hp and 270ft/lbs? Or did the printout correct for it?

The results can skew pretty far from one another depending on the weight they dialed the car in for.
