Python 700 Alarm system

I am thinking about getting a Python 700 car alarm installed in my 67... However, the circuit city website says:
"Professional installation required. For use with fuel-injected, automatic transmission vehicles only."
I do have an automatic but it is carburated... Does that actually matter or no?

i dont know much about alarms, but when some guy installed mine, a clifford 600, he mentioned that those "restrictions" where for some functions of the alarm, like starting it from the remote or disabling the starter if the alarm is armed. so as far as I know, you can install and program all the other functions without a problem

Yes that's it... sounds like that alarm has remote start features. Remote start is very hard to get working with a carbed vehicle.

most remote starts have a crank timer that you set to crank a certain length of time. We do a few carb'd remote starts without problems
