About what rpms are you running at 70-80mph? Does gas mileage suffer that much? Finally, about how much can I expect to spend on install? I would try to do it myself but I have no tools/driveway and I'd hate to F something up on my car I need for work/school...

Gas milage didn't change.

Install shouldn't cost over 200. Do you have an auto or 5 speed?

I've heard install prices from 150-750 $. My gas mileage didnt seem to suffer, but I dont go on the highway very often.

You will probably drop 3 to 4 miles per gallon. Install usually runs around 300 average give or take 100. RPM's at 75 are 2600 some differ. between vehicles

3 to 4 mpg seems awfully high, I've been hearing maybe 1-2 mpg you will drop with 4.10's if that.

I spin ~2550rpm @ 70mph. I haven't noticed gas mileage going down. It's soo minute (at least on the highway) that its not worth mentioning. IMO.

I got an automatic, but I still get the same mileage, give or take depending on my driving, and at 70-80 I'm at 2750-3000rpm. I paid $550 for install and master bearing kit, lube, labor, new shims, and everything else involved besides the gears.
