Q on running factory guages w/out computer

has anyone removed there factory computer and still run factory guage cluster running a 408 windsor carbed and dont need all the weight of wiring or clutter

The computer and gauges are electrically completely separate and independent. However, the wiring harness for the engine EFI components also has the wiring for the factory gauges.

If you have a fear of computers and electricity, it looks like you just shot yourself in the foot. Remove all the EFI wiring and you have to wire the gauges from the beginning.

no problem i know wiring already have leads to gauges but when i ground them nothing happens that i can tell but when i supply 12 volts they peg to bottom tell me if i am wrong but arn't they suppose to peg to top when grounded
