Anyone ever see spacers used between k member and frame of car.?
Boughta 93 gt. Has q1a k-member and lower a-arms, but there are 1/2 spacers in between k-member and body? ??

It's not designed to have a spacer between the K-member and the body, but when you mix aftermarket parts, spacers start to come into play. Look around under there and try and figure out what needed the spacing. More than likely they were put in to try and space something for the engine, like hood clearance.

Thanks Kurt, I looked everything over, but don't see anything major that would make them need spacer, unless there was a larger engine or components at one time. I'm probably going to leave it alone and change camber plates.

It could even be a botched collision repair. I think your logic is solid. If the car drives ok, and you are able to get it aligned, I wouldn't mess with it either.

I only say this, because we had spacers everywhere on our E30 track car. It had a mixture of E30, M3, Koenig, Suspension techniques, skid plates, you name it. It actually had the steering rack out of a Z3 with E30 tie rod ends on it. It took us forever to get all that stuff to fit together, but it was fast.
