I have read in a few places that the 94-95 computers dont like cam swaps. Is this accurate? if it is, what would need to be done if i was to add a cam?

I have a Lunati 51014 cam, notice a little driveability issues, but I think I've heard of people having some problems, I run a fms rpm extender now, still running ok.
Ed Curtis can grind you a cam for $325 bucks...not that much more expensive if you compare it to the price of alot of those off the shelf cams...that are around $200...
