Q's about SVO rear

I got a SVO rearend sitting in my garage. I know it has a 7.5 or something in there, so can I just transfer over the guts on an 8.8 to that SVO housing? It has the complete brake system end to end, that's why I was asking. Thanks

i pretty sure that you cannot use an 8.8 gear in a 7.5 housing
