will a normal king cobra clutch that'll fit the 87-93 gt's work fine with a cobra motor? I would imagine there would be no problem because the flywheel and all that jazz should be the same as the regular 5.0

Since the flywheel doesn't attach to the heads or intake, you'll be fine.

My deductive logic would tell me that if you have a COBRA motor, then a King COBRA clutch would, in theory, be originally intended for ... well, a COBRA.

But yeah, a T-5 is pretty much a T-5. Bolt 'er up and love 'er! I have no regrets about mine, whatsoever ... aside from the usual woes of driving a stick in heavy traffic.

The cobra clutch is the clutch that came with cobras. The KC is just a hair better but the Cobra clutches are great.

It seems to me that you'd want a Cobra spec T5 to be genre-correct. As said, any of the later Aero fox T5's should work alright. DO BE sure to upgrade the input shaft bearing retainer to steel if using a GT box.
Good luck.
