Question about a timing tab...

Hey everyone,

Recently I swapped out my '79 351w and replacing it with a 418---I am currently in the process of building it...however, when I went to look for the timing tab on the 351 the previous owner must have not put it on (he rebuilt it)..
SO, my question is: Does anyone know where I can get a timing tab for this motor? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I couldn't find ine either when I did my 351w swap. We used a 302 tab and bent it and kinda fabbed our own. I know thats not what you wanted to hear.

thanks guys...I might just have to buy one of those expensive tabs. One thing I don't understand is why there are so many chevy timing tabs floating around online, but ford tabs are almost impossible to find

I hear you. There is to much money to be made in the chevy world I guess. They get almost everything for cheaper.

I got my timing pointer from the dealership for about 10 bucks.
