I have a turbocharged 99 mustang and i had a few questions about the exhaust.
The guy who installed it said i could never really get a loud sound because i cant put x pipes on it and such. is that true? am i not able to put like longtube headers and a x-pipe on it? can i only do cat backs? I know the turbo has its own exhuast pipe that leads into my dual exhaust...but wont i loose HP that i could get from a set of longtube headers and a x-pipe? I do have a dumpout valve that makes it sound mean...but it smells like striaght gas so i dont like to leave it off all the time...just wondering....thanks guys

btw. i have a hellion turbo kit..its really awesome...only thing i hate is that its queit...

Turbos act like mufflers basically. I don't really know how hellions are set up but if they have mufflers you could remove those and pray it's not annoying.

if you want loud, you can just run straight pipes after the down pipe. it wont be as loud as a straight pipe'd N/A GT but it would still be loud

I dont think an x pipe would work on a hellion turbo kit, simply because its a single turbo and uses a Y pipe instead of an X or H. If you had gone with a twin seput than an x pipe could be used.

ah yeah i know with the single turbo kit has its own exhaust pipe that leads into my cars exhaust...using the y-pipe so i guess i am stuck with only cat backs huh?
