question about adjustable crossmember

i installed a frpp adjustable crossmember alittle bit ago, im curious after i get it adjusted for where my tranny sits, so i have to weld the metal sleeves so they dont slip back and fourth? or is it really not a problem?

You need to weld it up.

It's just a stock Xmember without the weld.

If you buy a factory crossmember it's already spotwelded. The adjustable unit is for custom setups that require different lenghts for some reason. After you get it bolted up, you should spot weld it for proper support.

alright, i'll call a local muffler shop tomorrow and see if they can spot weld it for me
