Question about Audio/Nav

Not sure if I am posting this in the proper place but I just got told that if I got a Pioneer AVIC D-3 unit installed in my 07 with Shaker 500 system, they would have to completely rewire the car, which would run me another $150. Has anyone done a aftermarket Nav install similar and had to do this or was I just BSed???

make sure you do the bypass. I installed the D3 in my 08 yesterday.
The bypass lets you watch movies and use the navigation settings while the vehicle is moving, not pulled over with the parking brake on.
