Question about bushing on c/c plate install

Im using the UPR c/c plates and everything is bolted right up, almost. I put one spacer underneath the plate (big one) and the 2 small ones on top. The question is, do i need to put the stock bushing back on? If so, how the h3ll do i get that thing on? Can i cut it? Any advice/info on the subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you're referring to the stock bushing that slid over the strut shaft and stopped just below the threads (it would have been in the center of the rubber isolator in the stock cc plates), then no, you shouldn't need it.

Bare in mind however that I'm not 100% familiar with the UPR plates. The purpose of the spacers is to place the strut as high as possible without contacting the hood. This should have been clearly outlined in the instructions. Assuming that everything has went together right, you shouldn't have any non-threaded portion of the strut above the spacers as the nut needs to be able to tighten down fully and contact the spacer appropriately.
