I purchased a C&L racer intake used from someone on the forums a while ago for a great price. I just now got to the point where I am ready to get the tuner and I had a question after looking at the stuff I had in the box. All I have is the metal intake, the filter, and the metal clamp ring. Is there anything else I will need, i.e. bolts or extra clamps? I didn't know if the person I purchased this from just kept those or not.

Here is what your CAI should look like. You may also need new bolts for installing the MAF(mass air flow) sensor.

There are 2 of them. Actually they're more like screws. Suggest that you ask C&L if you can re-use the original screws that fasten the MAF sensor to the stock air intake. If you need new ones , then either ask if C&L can supply 2 that will correctly fit, or give you the specs so you can buy them locally.

Don't reuse the factory ones (at Least on the "Street" intake) The thread style on the C&L screws are COMPLETLY different than the stockers and will ruin it!

However, they might work on the plastic Racer tube...

BE CAREFUL!

I re-used the stock MAF sensor screws on my C&L Street CAI. But I bought it 3 years ago, so they may have changed the design since then. That's why I told blbrchnk to check with C&L.

Mine are 5/32" fine thread(pitch of 36 to be exact) that are a 3/8" thread length with a phillips head.

Look inside your holes and see if they are a machined fine thread or it looks like a thin sheet metal type screw was in there. If it is the latter you may be able to just re-use your originals.

I just looked and I do only have the inlet tube, the heatshield, two air filters, and 5 of the clamp rings, so I will need some mounting items more than likely. I looked on C&L's site and they don't appear to have an e-mail only a phone number. Do you think Brenspeed or Bamachips would sell those alone?

Just a question, what is the difference between the "Racer" and the "Street", is it just that one is metal and the other plastic, cause if im not mistaken wont the heat from the radiator just hit right on the the metal intake pipe, and send hot air into the engine?

The difference is in the size. I'm running the C&L Racer but with a 88mm maf tube. It puts down better numbers than what comes with the Racer. The Racer's maf tube is too big for a nearly stock vehicle. It'd be good for a Saleen supercharger probably. My recomendation is to get the C&L with 88mm maf tube. Contact Justin with VMPTuning.com and he'll hook you up. I don't know anyone else who sells that set-up.
