alright ive been trying to get my clutch adjusted right but it still makes the same sound on and off. but my question is with the clutch adjusted properly is the TOB soppose to make contact with the clutch disc when the pedal is out? Because to me that would make the clutch and TOB wear out prematurly. but if it dosent slightly rest on the clutch disc theres play in the pedal and quadrent rattles. so can someone, in detail describe how all that should be adjusted? anyhelp will be greatly appreciated.

One does have the TOB just lightly pressing against the pressure plate diaphram fingers with the clutch pedal released. That's how cable operated clutches are designed to work.

The noise you heard when there was some slack is a normal issue.

Good luck.
