well I have to adjust my passenger tail-pipe about every 3 days because it always hits the frame...my question is....If i cut off the tailpipes and just have dumps, will exhaust gasses come up into the car?....what if i put some type of pipe pointed towards the ground would that make a difference?

I'm not sure if you just cut the tail pipes off if that would be worse than dumps, but I have dumps pointing down and slightly out and I never smell gasses. I imagine if I got cought in a bad traffic jam I may but I've had them for almost 2 years and no problems with the smell issue.

You may want to check the laws in your state. In some states and provinces dumps are illegal. I can tell you that they're illegal in Ontario. Yes, if you have any open areas in your underbody, fumes will enter the cabin area of your car.
Just something to think about.
