Hey guys, so my exhaust is pretty much complete. Magnaflow mufflers and a nice O/R X. The finishing touch would be some nice tips. I have the stock ones on right now, which look decent, but I would like some chrome ones, and perhaps slightly larger in diameter. I'm not sure because I haven't checked, but are the stock tips welded on or bolted on? What do I need to do to install some new tips? Thanks for any help.

At least it's more erect and not floppy anymore.

IMO SLP 3.5in rolled tips are

in most cases (not all) anything bigger than that just looks to big, but I remember seeing a bullit with some 4in. on there and it looked pretty good

I have the slashed/rolled tips from Summit. Can't remember the price. I got them welded on for like $35.

I quit updating this years ago but I have a few pics at the bottom of this page. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/593952/3

I had some Magnaflow exhaust tips that were 4". and 18" long. Got them from performancepeddlar.com They have a huge variety and the price isn't to bad either. Here are some pics from my old 03 GT. I got them welded on for about 40 bucks.

I'm definitely digging the 4" tips... So when you guys are saying you got yours welded on for $35-$40, I'm assuming you're just talking labor, not parts+labor (since I assume you had the parts already).

So how do like the sound of your setup? I run an O/R X-pipe with OEM mufflers and it sounds like crap. I want to stick with the O/R X-pipe, so I'm looking for a good muffler option.

yes that is just labor and the tips were about 40 dollars a piece too. I miss my old 03 all I needed to do to it was lower it and it would have been perfect.

FoxRod, those tips are nice. I have 3.5 slash cut. The stock tips are just
too stock looking.

I've heard Pypes recommends chambered mufflers for great sound
